President
 

A founding member of the AIA Hong Kong, Christine supports the Chapter in many roles: Vice President (2008); Technical Adjudication Advisor (2003 - present); Committee Chair and long time member of Honors & Awards (2006) and Nominating Committees (2005 & 2007); Active with Programs development, Urban Design & waterfront initiatives, COTE LEED events, Membership and International region objectives. Christine has over 15 years experience practicing in US, Europe, Japan, & Hong Kong and holds degrees from: Rice U. (B.A; B. Arch.); Yale U. (M. Arch); Tokyo U. (M. S.; PhD) She brings her design focus on sustainability to the forefront for AIA HK in 2009.

John Sellery, AIA
Vice President
 

John has been practicing architecture in Hong Kong since his arrival in1989. He earned his degree from the University of California at Berkeley and is a licensed architect in the state of California. John has been a member of AIA since 1985 and was a founding member of the Hong Kong chapter in 1997 and has held a variety of positions within the organisation. He was the Honours and Awards Chairman in 2002 and 2003 and was the Treasurer in 2006. John is the Group Managing Director for M Moser Associates, a global firm specialising in corporate interior architecture with eleven offices around the world and over 500 professionals. M Moser relies on talent from many areas including architectural, design, strategic planning, engineering, and construction to help their clients achieve a quality workspace that serves their needs in a cost effective, time efficient manner.

J Lee is one of the very special group of friends and professionals that are the founding members of AIA Hong Kong in 1997. She has been an active member of the organization; chairing many committees, Chapter Secretary for two years and finally one of the leaders that implemented our wonderful Pacific Crossings North West Regional conference in 2006.
J Lee came to Hong Kong via Hawaii in 1992, and has been licensed in the state of Massachusetts for over twenty years. J Lee brings extensive hotel design experience to her own firm of BUZ Design. BUZ specializes in high end hospitality interiors around the world. Shawn Dolley, AIA
Secretary
 

Shawn joined the Hawaii chapter of AIA in 2006, subsequently transferred affiliation to the Hong Kong chapter in 2007, and became an active member of COTE in 2008. Recipient of a Master of Architecture from Syracuse University in 1998, Shawn began his career in his home state of Maine before joining WATG in Hawaii in 2005, where he worked on mostly resort hotels in PRC. Keen to relocate to Asia, Shawn joined Aedas of Hong Kong in 2007, where he fills a role of sustainability champion, a position that marries well with his involvement on COTE and the green advocacy of AIA in general.

Julia Lau, Assoc.AIA
Treasurer
 

Julia has served as the Chapter's Treasurer since 2007. She has been a practicing architect in Hong Kong for 18 years and has experience on a variety of projects including schools, churches, residences, service apartments, hotels, offices and retail complexes. Julia is a Council Member of Hong Kong Institute of Architects and serves as a professional assessor for the institute as well as Deputy Chair on the Board of Mainland Affairs. Julia is also a member of Hong Kong's 800-member Election Committee representing the Architectural, Surveying & Planning sector.

Glenn R Wing, AIA
Past President
 

Glenn relocated to Hong Kong and joined the Chapter in 2002, after practicing in New York City for 25 years. He has served on the Chapter Programs Committee in addition to serving as Chapter Secretary in 2005, Co-Vice President in 2006-2007, and Chapter President for 2008. Glenn is also a member of the Society of Design Administration, and CoreNet. He is currently Vice President and Director of Interior Design with HOK International (Asia Pacific) in Hong Kong.

Roger Dunn, Assoc.AIA
Communications
 

Roger was a founding member of the AIA Hong Kong chapter in 1997 and has been active with the chapter ever since. He has served the chapter as Membership Chair between 2000-2006 and Treasurer in 2004. Roger has also served as the Regional Associates Director, Northwest Pacific Region and a member of the National Associates Committee in 2006. Roger is a practicing architect with approximately fifteen years of experience in Hong Kong.

Gregory Leong, AIA
Honors & Awards
 

Gregory joined the AIA Hong Kong Chapter in 2005 and has been active with the chapter ever since. He has served as Professional Practice Chair in 2006-07 and is a member of the Urban Design Committee. Gregory received his bachelor architectural degree from Rhode Island School of Design and a master degree in urban design from Harvard GSD. He has been practicing architecture and urban design for over 10 years in US as well as in Asia. Gregory is the senior design supervisor of planning and architecture at Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB Placemaking Asia.)

Kim Wang, AIA

Kim joined the AIA Hong Kong Chapter in 1999 and has served as Membership Chair since 2007. Kim received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Cornell University and a Master of Architecture Degree from Harvard GSD. He has practiced in New York for over 15 years, and has started his own practice in Hong Kong since 1994.

Kenneth Hau, AIA
Nominating
 

A founding member of the AIA Hong Kong Chapter, Kenneth served the Chapter in various roles: Secretary (2000 - 2001); Vice President (2003 - 2004). Kenneth was educated, trained and practiced in the US before returning to Hong Kong, and joining W&O (HK) Ltd., an established local practice where he remains as a senior member of the firm. Kenneth is a registered architect in the USA (Texas) and Hong Kong. He has extensive professional experience in both design and management in the US, Hong Kong, PRC and Southeast Asia.

Bernard Chang, AIA
Professional Practice
 

Bernard became member of the AIA in 2000; he has served the Hong Kong Chapter as Professional Practice Chair from 2007-2008. Bernard has been practicing architecture for more than 10 years in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore and Vietnam. Mr. Chang is currently stationed in KPF's Hong Kong office where he supports operations and business development activities for the firm's Asian practice.

Anderson Lee, AIA
Professional Practice Co-chair
 

Anderson returned to Hong Kong in 2003 from the U.S. and has been active with the chapter since. He served as the Nominating Committee Chair in 2008. He has over 10 years of experience practicing in the U.S. Finland, Japan, and China. Anderson is an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong since 2003. He is also the director of the award-winning office Index Architecture Ltd. He received his degrees in Architecture from Princeton University and the University of Michigan.

Programs Co-chair, China
 

Director of SOM China, Silas Chiow, AIA, is responsible for spearheading the firm's strategic planning, operations and project facilitation throughout greater China. During his tenure Chiow has collaborated with some of SOM's top urban planners and architects to conceptualize and complete some of the firm's most prestigious projects, while building strong partnerships with Chinese and international developers and their partners. He is a frequent speaker at private and public events on topics related to the development of China's planning and design culture.

Dr. Govada has been an AIA member since 1992 and a member of the Hong Kong chapter since 2002. As Urban Design Committee Chair since 2007, she organized Urban Design Symposia and Community Charrettes to raise member and public awareness on critical urban issues. She is the Managing Director of URBAN DESIGN & Planning Consultants Limited and a Part Time Assistant Professor, Dept. Of Urban Planning and Design, The University of Hong Kong. She is an award winning, qualified urban designer and certified professional urban planner with over twenty four years of international experience in Hong Kong, PRC, India and USA.

Tania Conforti, Assoc. AIA LEED AP
Environment Co-chair
 

Tania has joined the AIA Hong Kong chapter in 2007 and has been serving as the Shanghai Co-Chair of the Committee on the Environment (COTE) since 2009. She received her master degree in architecture design from the Habitat Unit of the University of Technology in Berlin, Germany. With more than ten years of international work experience in Germany and the US, Tania has been living and working in Shanghai since 2004 and is currently an Associate at RTKL’s Shanghai office. In her work in Asia she has come to specialize in the sustainable aspects of design and planning of communities and buildings.
