AIA Hong Kong – August President’s Message

Dear Fellow Members,

I hope you are all enjoying a pleasant summer.

At the beginning of July, we were extremely pleased to announce the re-launch of our AIA Hong Kong website. In addition to an enhanced presentation of our chapter’s information and activities, there are also a few blogs filled with interesting discussions on architecture and related topics.  I would like to extend my appreciation to J. Lee Rofkind, AIA, and the Communications Committee for pulling this together.

In July we hosted several very interesting events, including an enlightening Brain Trust discussion about Macau – The Paradox of Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Development, which will later be featured in Perspective magazine as one of a series of four featured reports.

August is the month for completing your Honors and Awards submissions. I would like to remind you to submit your creative projects very soon – the deadline is August 23, 2013.

In the meantime, continue to enjoy the steaming hot summer.

Sincerely,
William Lim, FAIA
2013 President, AIA Hong Kong Chapter
