AIA Hong Kong Building Tour – The Hong Kong Jockey Club University of Chicago Academic Complex
AIA Hong Kong will host a tour of The Hong Kong Jockey Club University of Chicago Academic Complex by Revery Architecture (formerly Bing Thom Architects) on June 1st (Saturday).
The 52,000 square foot building was completed in 2018 and is now The University of Chicago’s satellite campus in Asia and home to its renowned Booth School of Business (Chicago Booth). The Mount Davis site was a former military facility, later a detention center, and has been converted to a landmark academic hub for business education.
The tour will be led by Mr. Earle Briggs, Director of Revery Architecture, and his project team. They will share their experience and discuss the challenges that arose during construction with respect to both the historic buildings and the complex natural landscape. This will be a rare opportunity to learn firsthand how the global academic institution and this lovely site were sensitively combined to create this remarkable new complex.
Due to the popularity of our building tours and limited space available, early registration is strongly recommended. Priority will be given to AIA members.
We look forward to seeing you on June 1st!
