AIA Hong Kong – Honors & Awards Reception

Dear members and friends:

Our thanks to those of you who were able to join us!

It was wonderful to welcome a record number of members and friends to the annual AIA Hong Kong Honors and Awards Ceremony on November 5, 2013.

Once again, an outstanding panel of jurors recognized members’ work throughout the Asia Pacific Region. The jury – chaired by George Miller, FAIA, and joined by AIA International Director George Kunihiro, FAIA, Harvard GSD Dean Mohsen Mostafavi, RIBA, and HKU Prof. Lynne DiStefano, Hon. AIA (HK) – focused on design excellence with respect to both sustainability and urban design.  The full list of submissions, jury comments and award-winning projects will be posted on our website.

As always, the Chapter also recognized the work of individuals and organizations helping to create a better built environment in our region with Community Citations, Honorary Memberships and student awards.

With this in mind, please join us on December 9 to learn more about one of this year’s Citation recipients, Project Little Dream, who will share their work with us at an evening seminar on Sustainable Hardwoods with H&A sponsor, American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC)(more details).

Finally, our thanks to AHEC and BAGNODESIGN LONDON for sponsoring the ceremony; to Hongkong Land for providing the venue; to duttonBRAY for booklet design and to our own staff, all of whom helped to make the Awards event possible this year.

A heartfelt congratulations to all of our Award recipients!
