Haitang Bay National Seashore Masterplan
In what would become the first National Seashore in China, the masterplan preserves and enhances the outstanding qualities of Haitang Bay that attracted development might obliterate. Under the masterplan, the site would become a pilot preservation environment, ensuring that the agricultural, aquacultural, and social culture of the 153 square kilometre site would continue. This emphasis on total sustainability (economic, social, and environmental) would be enabled by low impact, eco-resort developments, which would in turn finance the preservation program and help to improve the quality of life for existing residents.
