Award: Honor Award for Urban Design (AIA Hong Kong Associate Award)
Hong Kong is home to one of the world’s most breathtaking harbours, however, much of Hong Kong’s
harbourfront is currently inaccessible, and lacks connections to the hinterland and continuity of access.
The study focuses on the “forgotten” waterfronts by developing practicable and implementable urban
design proposals, to increase harbourfront connectivity by 22km. New destinations along the
harbourfront will enable Hong Kong residents to truly enjoy a continuous harbourfront promenade and
enable Victoria Harbour to reclaim its true identity befitting Asia’s World City.
