Dear AIA members and friends,

AIA Hong Kong invites you to join our first building tour of 2019: the new French International School Tseung Kwan O campus, 28 Tong Yin Street, Tseung Kwan O, NT, on February 23 (Saturday) 10:00 – 12 noon.

The French International School at Tseung Kwan O is Hong Kong’s greenest school, an open and active learning environment for kindergarten, primary and secondary level pupils.  Completed in September 2018, the 19,600 m2 campus sets an outstanding example for sustainability with its strategic use of daylight, extensive landscaping and energy saving features.

The facility was designed by Henning Larsen, practitioners of sustainable design and inclusive design strategies, and the tour will be led by Henning Larsen’s Elva Tang and Claude Bøjer Godefroy, together with Jean-Charles Querette, Int’l Assoc. AIA, former Project Manager for the school.

On this tour you will experience Henning Larsen’s renowned approach to daylighting design and see how the school’s collaborative learning vision has been implemented within an innovative open classroom concept.  You will also learn about many of the state-of-the-art sustainable design strategies incorporated into the campus.

Due to the popularity of our building tours and limited space available, early registration is strongly recommended. Priority will be given to AIA members.

We look forward to seeing you there!
