Due to popular demand, this event is sold-out.

Please contact Chapter office if you wish to be on our waiting list.

Please join us at Little Tai Hang for a journey through the eyes of developer, and recent GSD graduate, Tommy Pao, as he and his team walk us through their journey of transforming what used to be three separate alleyways into one of the most active neighborhoods in Tai Hang today.

Overseen from inception to operation by a single team, Little Tai Hang is an example of urban revitalization that takes the long view to community building. This included starting with questions like “How do you build a successful and sustainable business community?” and “What is the right scale and type of retail mix?”

The team will take us through their considerations of safety, cost-management and design, and ultimately discovered how to create a special place for people to gather that is both visually pleasing and economically viable – and that will continue to prosper in Hong Kong’s rapidly-changing urban environment.

The Little Tai Hang tour will be led by Tommy Pao and his team and will conclude with light refreshments hosted by the group. Note also that we will have our Chapter’s Second Quarterly Meeting before the tour, at 3:15 pm.

Due to the popularity of our building tours and limited space available, early registration is strongly recommended. Priority will be given to AIA members and attendees will receive 2 HSW/LU credits (pending Institute approval).

Please RSVP by June 7 (Friday) and, as always, if you have any questions, please contact the Chapter office at 2882 6011.

We looking forward to seeing you on June 15th!
