As
we welcome in the new year, we take a minute to reflect
upon 2010. It has been an exciting and meaningful year
for the American Institute of Architects Hong Kong Chapter.
Beginning in January co-presenting the VERTICAL DENSITY
- Public Dimension Conference (
www.hk-ny.com)
with officials and experts from New York, Hong Kong
and Shanghai sharing best practice for livable cities;
Engaging at the Hong Kong Shenzhen Biennale with tours,
discussions and City Image Forum; Reaching members throughout
the region with a series of Sustainability workshops
in Hong Kong and Shanghai including city specific charrettes
with multidisciplinary friends and participants; Inaugurating
the AIA / Perspective Brain trust series of roundtables
discussions on Creativity and Collaboration highlighting
AIA Hong Kong member architects experts and colleagues;
Recognizing design excellence through the AIA Hong Kong
Annual Honors and Awards Program; and Supporting multiple
community events dialogues and conferences including
the recent C40 Climate Dialogue Conference and workshops
Nov 3-6; hosting the National AIA President, George
Miller and welcoming many world respected architects,
technical specialists and colleagues throughout the
year. The Chapter is thankful to all who have collaborated
with us to help raise awareness for sustainable design
excellence. Please stay tuned for a great new program
