SAMUEL HEATH for a life less ordinary  

We welcome Dr. Lloyd Blewett from Samuel Heath & Sons plc, one of England's oldest manufacturing companies, to introduce contemporary methods in manufacturing and what these mean for specifiers of bathroom brassware and door and window fittings. The seminar takes a look at the characteristics of brass as a base material and why it is important that architects and interior designers consider what is not always immediately apparent on the surface of a product.

The seminar is wide ranging and covers both traditional manufacturing techniques, such as hot stamping, and contemporary methods such as CNC machining. It takes a detailed look at surface preparation, decorative and protective finishing and introduces the latest developments in plated finishes which are so important to all specifiers of bathroom fittings and architectural hardware.

Part of the seminar will take a look at current trends in bathroom design and the fascinating way in which a manufacturer such as Samuel Heath reflects these fast moving changes in its own product design.

Samuel Heath is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects Continuing Professional Development providers network and it is an industry Partner of The British Institute of Interior Design.
 
Dr. Lloyd Blewett has spent his whole career with Samuel Heath, working for the company initially in the United States subsequently expanding to developing economies such as Russia, India and China. In a diverse career, Lloyd has worked closely with design professionals both in the United Kingdom and internationally on a wide range of projects.
