This year, the jurors selected 16 submissions for Award distinction. Specifically, (1) Honors Awards for Architecture, (2) Merit Awards for Architecture, (2) Honors Awards for Interior Architecture, (4) Merit Awards for Interior Architecture, (4) Honors Awards for Urban Design, (1) Merit Awards for Urban Design, and (2) Merit Award for Unbuilt Project.
In addition, 3 recipients of the AIA Hong Kong Scholastic Award 2019 have been selected by the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Chu Hai College.

The AIA Hong Kong is pleased to announce this year’s Honorary Members and Chapter Citations recipients.
In recognition of distinguished achievement in the Chapter’s region as a pioneer of social housing with its Light Home programme that converts disused and abandoned buildings into affordable rental homes for low-income families in collaboration with the private sector, as well as with government support.
In recognition of distinguished achievement in the Chapter’s region as a not-for-profit initiative supporting creative design projects and research, and advocating for the importance of thoughtful design while actively engaging communities through public events in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
