Honor Award for Interior Architecture: Coastal Group Executive Office

Winner: Ronald Lu & Partners
Award: Honor Award for Interior Architecture

In response to the rapid development of Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area of the southern China, the new office of Coastal Group has an appearance to represent the company’s strength and position, and to benefit the company’s steering members with an environment on ease of communication, generating fit and comprehensive business strategies.

The executive office is located on the top floors of the company own office tower, composing with a reception for VIPs and a space to exhibit the company’s major property projects on the 30th floor; and executive office suites and board room on the 32nd floor. The two floors are connected by a direct and exclusive elevator.

The 30th floor lift lobby is designed with a semi open space. Metal lattice wall panels are used to dilute the massive volume of the building’s structural walls surrounding the lobby. The translucent lattice feature enriches the space and also provide a view into the project models display area in behind.

The space planning of the executive office floor on 32nd floor is straight forward, but sophisticated. The executive suites are flanked along the north and south sides of the building core. Each executive suite is in tailored design with private dressing room and resting area. The chairman’s office occupies the east end of the floor. It has direct access to the roof top garden on its north and adjoin a private tea room with tastefully selected wood furniture on its east.
