HKIA/ARB Professional Induction Workshop 2016

The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) is now inviting eligible non-local professionals to apply to HKIA for admission as HKIA member via the Professional Induction Workshop (PIW) and Professional Interview, which will be held in the 4th quarter of 2016. 

Eligibility
Applicant shall be a holder of professional qualification/registration by a recognised national professional/registration body of architects, with adequate post-professional qualification / registration practical experience, as listed in the HKIA/ARB Professional Assessment Handbook Section 4 (refer Appendix A). 

The national professional/registration body of architects currently recognized by HKIA and Architects Registration Board (ARB) include

Country Registration Board / Professional Institute
United Kingdom – Architects Registration Board (ARB)
– Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)
USA – National Council of Architects Registration Boards (NCARB)
– Amercian Institute of Architects (AIA)
Canada – By provincial registration
Australia – Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA)
– Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA)
New Zealand – Architects Education and Registration Board, New Zealand (AERB)
– New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA)

Applicants are also required to attend the HKIA/ARB Professional Assessment – Lecture & Seminar Series Paper 1 and 2 lectures with at least 80% attendance, before he or she is admitted to attend the Professional Induction Workshop and the Professional Interview.
