AIA Hong Kong invites you to join The CUHK Kinoshita Lecture in Architecture 2018 – “Towards Humane Architecture”, by world-renowned Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki. The event will be held on 15 March 2018 (Thursday) 5:30pm at Lau Chor Tak Lecture Theatre 1, G/F, Yasumoto International Academic Park, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Fumihiko Maki, Hon. FAIA, was born in Tokyo in 1928, and has studied and taught at the University of Tokyo and Harvard Graduate School of Design. He founded Maki and Associates in 1965, and has since established his international reputation with built projects such as Hillside Terrace, Spiral and Kaze-no-Oka Crematorium in Japan; MIT Media Lab Complex in the US; and Bihar Museum in India, among many others. Maki has received numerous prestigious awards in his long-standing career, most notably the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 1993 and the AIA Gold Medal in 2011.
