ARE in Hong Kong Launch Celebration and Presentation by NCARB CEO, Michael J. Armstrong
April 3, 2014
After a concerted and lengthy campaign to bring the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) to Hong Kong, the day had finally come, and for our emerging professional members, it was truly a day to celebrate! No longer will our Asia Zone associate members need to travel to Guam, or to the United States, to sit for their exams, but can now do so at the Prometrics testing center in San Po Kong, Kowloon.
To celebrate the launch, AIA Hong Kong hosted an information session at the Offices of Ronald Lu & Partners, with a special presentation by NCARB CEO, Michael J. Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong spoke to an energized crowd of both aspiring architects and licensed members on the pathway to licensure with an American jurisdiction, as well as toward an NCARB certificate.
With the commencement of the ARE in Hong Kong, all the pieces are in place locally for associate members to complete their Intern Development Program, connect with knowledgeable, motivated IDP Mentors, and sit for the ARE examination – all toward furthering their professional development and attaining their US licenses as Architects.
