AIA Hong Kong

NCARB CEO Michael Armstrong ARE & NCARB Certification in Hong Kong

Since 2014, ARE candidates residing and working in this region have been able to take the Architect Registration Exam (ARE) in Hong Kong.  AIA Hong Kong worked together with NCARB, Prometrics and various Hong Kong government boards and officials to achieve this long time Chapter goal, which has made it easier for our members here, as well as in Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore and throughout the Asia-Pacific Region to take the exam without having to travel to the U.S. With help from a 2016 emerging professionals grant from the AIA College of Fellows, the Young Architects Group of AIA Hong Kong has been organising ARE study sessions to assist and encourage candidates for licensure, and to provide mentoring opportunities for other, more established architects.  RSVP here.

NCARB CEO Michael Armstrong will return to Hong Kong to meet with AIA members and discuss the ARE 4.0 and 5.0 transition, young professionals’ path to registration (study, sign up, AXP), how AIA firm owners can assist in this process and share other vital information with Chapter members regarding the path to NCARB certification.

NOTE
Limited spots are available for AIA members outside of Hong Kong to participate in this event via webcast. Please email info@aiahk.org to inquire.

Thank you to the following organisations for their continuous support of young architects seeking licensure.
