Honor Award in Interiors – Diageo Gurgaon Workplace by M Moser Associates

Project Overview

Shaped as a spatial narrative of transformation rooted in identity, the new Diageo Gurgaon workplace is conceived asa destination for experience, collaboration, and cultural expression. Drawing from the metaphor of the distillery, where raw elements are methodically refined through time, craft, and precision, the space becomes an architecturalenactment of this process. Transformation serves as concept and framework, guiding a creative approach aroundmateriality, structure, and experience.

The project spans three levels, anchored by a sculptural staircase in timber and bronze. This vertical connector unifiesmovement and meaning, where all floors are designed around distinct placemaking moments: The Bar, The Café, TheSpring, and The Well. Collaboration is the principle that guided sequence, planning and branding. Through originality, vitality, and depth, the space reinterprets Diageo’s European matching contemporary Indian sensibilities.

Ceilings are treated as expressive opportunities to integrate technology and comfort in a unified manner. Vaulted, faceted, and fluid forms introduce rhythm and dimension. A material palette of perforated metal, traditional Jaliscreens, and locally crafted tiles weaves a tactile narrative, embedding cultural identity through texture, craftsmanship, and sensory experience.

Circularity, biophilic design, and comfort are embedded in the architecture to promote wellbeing, reduce impact, andreflect diversity. Gentle curves, warm hues, carefully selected materials, and vibrant accents define a spatial rhythm—balancing movement and calm through warmth, depth, and quiet elegance. Aligned with Diageo’s values, the projectdelivers a purposeful environment that connects the brand’s sense of community with its drive for innovation in Indiaand beyond.
