AIA Hong Kong Chapter Mentorship Program 2025

The AIA Hong Kong Mentorship Program is Now Open for Applications!

This 11-month program provides an opportunity for Mentors and Mentees to engage in a mutually crafted “learning partnership” tailored to the career interests of the Mentees. Interactions may take place through in-person meetings, phone calls, email correspondence, Zoom meetings, or other social networking platforms.

We encourage current AIA Hong Kong Chapter members to become Mentors and share their valuable experience and insights with our younger members.

Aligned with this year’s AIA Hong Kong theme, “Practice is ______,” the 2025 Young Architects Group (YAG) Mentorship Program aims to connect Mentees with a diverse range of Mentors, reflecting the various career paths and professional experiences of those within the field.

The program will kick off with a networking mixer, where potential Mentors will present their individual group plans for Mentees. Likewise, Mentees will submit their “goals for the YAG Mentorship Program” to facilitate meaningful match-ups based on their interests and preferences as part of their application for the Mentorship Program.

Mentee Eligibility

Mentees must be AIA Hong Kong Chapter members who are currently studying in an undergraduate or graduate program or who have graduated from college/university within the last 10 years.  Priority will be given to members who have not participated in this program before.

Once your application has been received and confirmed, you will be invited to attend our YAG Kick-off Event. During the event, Mentors and Mentees will have the opportunity to get to know each other’s aspirations and goals for the YAG Mentorship Program.

Following the event, Mentors and Mentees will be paired based on each Mentor’s professional expertise and work experience, as well as the Mentee’s interests, career aspirations, and preferences.

Note that all interested Mentors/Mentees are expected to attend the Kick-off Event on Saturday, 22nd February 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DX Design Hub in Sham Shui Po.
