The AIA Hong Kong Young Architects Group (YAG) Mentorship Program 2026 is your catalyst — and is now open for applications from both Mentors and Mentees — for dynamic partnerships where we carefully match individuals based on shared experiences, goals, interests and aspirations to foster meaningful, two-way exchanges.

Prefer coffee chats, Zoom calls, or site visits? Want to explore new specializations, firm cultures, or leadership skills? Whether you’re seeking guidance or offering it, the format is flexible:

• In-person meetings
• Virtual calls
• Informal check-ins

Why join in 2026?

Aligned with this year’s Chapter theme, Building Belonging, the program is designed to reflect the diversity of what our profession offers. We will connect emerging talent with experienced architects from across the spectrum of practice and academia, creating a more inclusive and connected community.

How It Works:

1. Kick-off: We begin with a networking mixer where Mentors will present their focus areas
2. Matchmaking: Mentees will then submit their goals, enabling us to create thoughtful, purpose-driven matches
3. Engage: You and your mentor/mentee will build a unique partnership over the program period

Who Should Apply as a Mentee?

You may apply as a Mentee if you:

• Are studying architecture or a related program (undergraduate or graduate) in Hong Kong, or
• You have recently graduated from an architecture or related program and are currently based in Hong Kong

Priority will be given to applicants who have not participated in the program before

Once your application has been received and confirmed, you will be invited to attend our YAG Kick-off Event. During the event, Mentors and Mentees will have the opportunity to get to know each other’s aspirations and goals for the YAG Mentorship Program.

Note that all interested Mentors/Mentees are expected to attend the YAG Kick-off Event
