Dear Members

AIA Hong Kong is pleased to announce that we will host an outdoor screening at Central Market in conjunction with Designing Central and HKICON, to celebrate the re-opening of this historic building after a decade-long revitalization process.

From its beginnings as a fresh food market in 1939, Central Market has been transformed into an important public space and ‘Playground for All’ in the heart of Central, Hong Kong.

We will show a 28-minute documentary, “The Dessau Bauhaus” in the outdoor courtyard, followed by a panel discussion with our guest speakers: Dr. Han Man, of the CUHK School of Architecture faculty, and Fredo Cheung, former president of HKICON, who will speak on “Bauhaus in Hong Kong”.  As the event will take place on a ‘Playground for All’, be prepared to stand up, move around and play!

Please RSVP via the link below by 5:00 PM on October 19, 2021 and, if you have any questions, contact the Chapter office at rsvp@aiahk.org / 2882-6011.

For those members who would like to have LU credit, please combine your name and membership number as the ticket holder name, e.g. samho38588821
