West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and M+ present “Building M+: The Museum and Architecture Collection”, M+’s first architecture exhibition, from 10 January to 9 February 2014. This will be a landmark presentation offering a more detailed preview of the design of the future museum building by Herzog & de Meuron with TFP Farrells and Ove Arup & Partners HK, alongside a preview of the museum’s growing architecture collection, the first of its kind in Asia.
Two public talks are also scheduled on 9 and 25 January respectively. We look forward to seeing you there!
The exhibition will also offer a first look at over 100 works and materials, many previously unseen, by more than 35 architects, firms and artists, inclusive of works by Frank Lloyd Wright, Yungho Chang, Ma Yansong, OMA, Andreas Gursky, Urbanus, Steven Holl, Rocco Yim, Tao Ho and others: providing a snapshot of the museum’s groundbreaking approach to collecting, understanding, and thinking about architecture.
