Dear Members
Please join Design Trust Futures Studio (DTFS) for a discussion of their book – Design Trust Futures Studio: from Smallness, Playfulness to Community Impact – and an Exhibition, followed by a tour of the Sitting-out Area under the Flyover in Hill Road, one of their recent projects.
Aimed at introducing unique ideas and injecting new energy into Hong Kong’s public spaces, the DTFS designs of four micro-parks: Yi Pei Square Playground, Portland Street Rest Garden, the Sitting-out Area under the Flyover in Hill Road, and the Hamilton Street Rest Garden will be presented.
The guided tour will provide a brief overview of the comprehensive documentation involved in the design process, as well as the construction, implementation and complicated public engagement and cross-disciplinary partnerships that were necessary to bring these four pilot projects to fruition.
