A world-class, sustainable and smart workplace for the future – and a new architectural landmark in Hong Kong, The Henderson is “an icon amongst icons”.
Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the building comprises a GFA of approximately 465,000 square feet over 36 floors. With an emphasis on integrating the built environment with nature, the tower is an urban oasis in the Central Business District, promoting access to green spaces and improving local air quality.
Through both passive design and innovative features, The Henderson has already achieved a Platinum LEED rating and full marks in SmartScore and China Smart Building. Henderson Land’s commitment to sustainability is evident throughout the building with the adoption of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as the guiding framework for design and implementation.
This tour will offer attendees exclusive access to the newest tall building in Central, one of the most sought after commercial properties in Hong Kong. Located on the site of the old Murray Road carpark, the new super Grade-A office tower is a showcase that embraces these five pillars of design: Resilience, Health, Green, Smartness and Hospitality – for the tenants and for their staff and visitors.
The developer and architect will highlight some of the Smart Management and Sustainable Innovations that have helped The Henderson achieve numerous green design awards and they will also discuss the challenges that had to be overcome during the design and construction phases Topics to be covered will include sustainability, adoption of innovative designs and the need to incorporate wellness features in all office buildings of tomorrow.

About the Speakers
Mr. Kevin Ng
Kevin Ng is presently the Senior Deputy General Manager of the Project Management Department of Henderson Land. He is a Fellow of the HKIA and was previously a steering committee member for BEAM Plus v2.0. Kevin has been responsible for a series of smart, green and healthy award-winning developments in Hong Kong, and spearheaded The Henderson development from the very beginning.
Ms. Sara Klomps
Sara Klomps is a Director of Zaha Hadid Architects. She has been with the firm for 25 years and has held key roles on several major cultural, civic and commercial projects, including the London Aquatics Centre for the London Olympics, 2012, as well as others throughout Europe and internationally.
