Important Update: Submission Deadline Extended

We are pleased to announce that the submission deadline for the 2024 AIA Hong Kong Honors & Awards has been extended to August 23, 2024. This decision comes in response to the many requests we’ve received, acknowledging the difficulty of meeting the earlier deadline during the summer holidays. We hope this additional time will allow entrants to refine their submissions and encourage new participants to enter.

Submit your designs by August 23, 2024, and be part of this prestigious event. We can’t wait to see your creative work!

2024 AIA Hong Kong Honors & Awards: Now Open for Submissions!

We’re delighted to announce that we are now accepting submissions for 2024 AIA Hong Kong Honors & Awards!

Our annual Honors & Awards program celebrates exceptional achievements in architecture, interiors, urban design and unbuilt projects by our Chapter members, and by other licensed architects practicing within our region. Our goal is to increase awareness of exceptional design, honor the collaborative efforts of architects, clients, and consultants, and promote the value of architecture to our community.

Last year, we introduced the Open International category for licensed architects who have not yet joined the AIA. This addition allowed us to acknowledge the remarkable work of architects worldwide, further supporting our commitment to promoting design excellence and fostering stronger ties with industry professionals. Encouraged by the strong response, we will continue to include this category in our awards program.

Our vision, as set out in the AIA Strategic Plan 2021-2025, is to:
“…help our members shape the future by encouraging
the design of responsive buildings and livable cities
that enrich lives and sustain the environment.”

As we work to embody this vision across all of our programs, we believe it’s essential that sustainability, equity, resilience and wellbeing are integral to our Honors & Awards. Thus, we’re aligning our evaluation criteria with the AIA Framework for Design Excellence starting this year. The entry form will guide you through the principles of the Framework and provide links to online resources for further understanding.

We encourage you to take this opportunity to showcase your work and be recognized for your contributions to the architectural landscape. Submit your entries now!
